Adapter to update the display driver?

I have a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 (HP), graphics card that is pre-installed on my HP Pavilion 7955 running Windows XP Home Edition. I looked and looked for an upgrade to this screen but it does not appear to be supported by NVIDIA longer. There must be something there. Help! The reason for the need to update the driver because I'm converting analog video to digital video. While I was downloading (capture) some videos from my computer hard drive shut down and restarted the computer and MS Windows dialogue box appears saying "Computer restarted after an unexpected shutdown. MS Windows has detected a possible device failure. The driver for the display device was unable to complete a drawing operation. Yes Please, check with the manufacturer of device to update the device. "This is the exact text that was in the dialog box. The display driver date: 8/16/2001, driver version 1.4.6.2. I bought my HP Pavilion in October 2001.

This latest driver for Windows XP http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_71.89.html sure clicking on the link bollinger1960 products supported access to a driver that is not the graphics card.
