
A kippah (yarmulke or plural kippot) is the Hebrew word for skullcap in Yiddish and know Yarmulke. It is a rounded cap worn by Jewish men and boys and sometimes men and women in Conservative and Reform communities. According to Jewish law, men are forced to cover their heads, saying the name of God when they pray or recite a blessing also to study the Torah or the synagogue.
