Where can I find a builder or contractor? I was not able to answer that question from one of my clients when asked is a little over 3 years. Today is another story and I am pleased to announce that after many years being frustrated, I realized how to minimize my chances of making a costly mistake when hiring of a Toronto home builder.
When you call someone who claims to be able to build the home of your dreams, how you know you can trust him? Well, one way would be to ask to speak to a customer at his general location, which had built a custom home made for them within at least 1 3 years ago. More stories of clients who live near you is also desirable, but make sure you are able to communicate with them. Should not be too difficult since you live in the same area. Take a few minutes by car (recommended) or give them a call.
My experience in the travel and real estate field have led me to some builders incredible luxury homes skilled, talented and very, very honest and entrepreneurs. Those who drew me closer and I recommend to my friends and clients are builders and contractors they are created. I was a good feeling to come to me as a perfectionist, besides being very proud of their work and consider all the signature projects of the mark so to speak.
I found an important clue about these builders and contractors in a key area. Taking its promises. If they continue the smallest promises they have made to you, then most likely continue through all the adults too. Being on time is about something incredibly important. In one case, I booked an appointment with a potential contractor and was 45 minutes late. This appointment was an interview that we have to decide if they would consider for work. That was 45 minutes late (actually I think he has forgotten the beginning), was not taking the interview seriously. This attitude, in my opinion, would create a recipe for disaster.
What is more frustrating than spending a large part of your hard-earned money, time and energy for a far beautiful luxury home or a renovation project done for you just to experience everything that goes wrong? That's what faced many customers as a property agent. Everything from the skylights in the kitchen drain falling apart. This should not happen more and for me, wow, what a pleasure and relief to finally be able to suggest and recommend to my friends and customers a way to find a manufacturer of quality houses, or a contractor specializing in all types of additions and renovations, a man of his word, and a builder of luxury residences behind their work!
Here are some tips to consider when choosing a home builder or renovator suitable for You:
1. Ask someone you know and trust a reference. Word of mouth is very powerful.
2. Interview at least 3 clients moved to Toronto and has a list of questions prepared for them, including "How long have you been in business?".
3. Price is important, but focus more in the quality of materials and workmanship
4. Getting written assurance
5. Ask clients past and do not take our word for it, not the field, and call and / or visitation.
6. Call and talk to the Ethics Office Commercial Toronto
7. Do not rush into a contract. Give yourself time to examine any information collection of these, so use your instincts. The project will surely be a collaboration between you and the manufacturer asks the question, is this the person 's / manufacturer / contractor to see myself with a good working relationship during the time needed to complete this project?
