It is not like divorce in the Catholic Church, it is possible to cancel and receive a cancellation of a couple must prove that the marriage was not valid since inception. If someone cheats, or is a substance abuse or misuse, the most likely reason for the cancellation. However, the idea of a no fault divorce or something like that exists in the Catholic Church. There are people who are "Catholic" and get a civil divorce without obtaining an annulment Church. Until we get an annulment and has received the divorce is not in a state of grace and can not receive Christ in the Eucharist.
