My grandmother doesn’t like me being Buddhist..Why?
I don’t get it. She has Buddha figurines thought she’s Catholic (she says they’re for “good luck”, beats me what she means though) and it’s not like I’m trying to rebel or anything.
When I said to her I was Buddhist this summer she just said that I’ve “been looking at things on the computer”. She means the internet is probably changing me..
I also told her I’m vegetarian, but she’s just fine with me being a vegetarian.
She also still thinks I’m a catholic..
I don’t get it. It’s not like I said I was atheist, though I am. She’s not religious or anything, though she does believe in a God and Jesus.
I’d rather not bring up religious subjects so I don’t ask her why, plus she’s probably too stubborn to give her correct answers.
She’s probably just set in her ways and doesn’t understand Buddhism. Maybe you should try talking to her about what Buddhism is, and what the religion stands for and things like that.
